timing belt question

my 2000 C-70 is starting to get up there in miles (95,000) and I've heard I should have timing belt replaced at about 100,000. Is this right? And what can I expect this job to cost me. I have a mechanic not the dealer? Anyway, is this a job that needs to be done immediately and if its not done now will it cause mechanical damage? Appreciate any information you guys have as I always ask here and get great help. Thanks

105,000 is the time and do the serp at the sametime along with the pulley. If not you'll be replacing it again.

      timing belt question

Your timing belt should be replaced according to the service booklet with your owner's manual. It is an interference engine which means there will likely be big problems if you let it go and it breaks.

    timing belt question

Your timing belt is scheduled to be replaced at 105K miles, along with the tensioner. Prepare for about 2 hours of shop time and parts cost. Also get a new serpentine belt at that time and a roller or 2.
