broke out the window of the tailgate. what a pain in the tailgate. anyway, there was glass everywhere and i'm sure some went down behind the rear panel and towards the lock mechanism. now, the gate won't lock properly. i can't open it from the outside because a catch is engaged but it has about an inch of play. the dashboard light is lit constantly and when i use central lock, the doors lock, no change from the rear lock and the lights no longer flash as they did.
thinking some glass fell into the lock mechanism. could the motor be burnt out if there was an obstruction. how to remove rear panel. i have seen reports but they all look like they break the tabs.
