ANSWER STOCK STEREO - a Volvo amplifier is available S70 1998

Volvo sold an auxiliary amplifier to use with their stock head unit for 1998-? S70/V70. You need these parts:

Part 6816302-1, called HA-425 Amp 4x50W.
Part 6849820-3, Mounting kit
Part 6816303-9, Cable Harness

The unit fits under the right passenger seat, so the harness must lead somehow up the dashboard.

A similar amp was sold for the 850, the 960/V90, the 740, and even the 240 (really, I have the fact sheet in front of me).
