P0500 - Where does vehicle speed signal come from? S70 1998

I'm having Vehicle Speed Sensor errors (P0500) even though I know my ABS controller is OK. Does anyone know where the ABS controller gets the input to monitor the vehicle speed? I assume it's from one of the ABS wheel sensors. Is it a particular one or does it somehow use input from all four sensors? What causes this error code?

Thanks for the help.

The vehicle speed comes from the tranny. The wheel sensors show the wheel in motion, or not, for the ABS to do its thing. Do not confuse them.
You might want to unplug the wires, clean the plugs, and slather them with di-electric grease to keep any water out.
