automatic tranny fluid - must I use volvo brand fluid? if not, what else works for a 2000 v70 xc? i would like to do a flush, but dealer quoted close to $300 for 15

Yes, you must use Volvo fluid or it's equivelant. Mobil 3309 is a popular substitute and typically runs about sixty bucks a case, that is a dozen quarts, not the 15 that the dealer qouted. Moc also makes a good substitute as well, I know that all of my local dealers use it instead of the factory stuff. When you consider that the Volvo stuff is running about $65.00 a gallon and they qouted you a price of $300.00 for darn near 4 gallons that is really not a bad price at all.
