Bougicord wire markings 850

In the new-to-me 1995 850 I got without records, the Bougicord ignition wires have 94-42 printed on them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing that it tells me that those wires were manufactured in the 42nd week of 1994. If so, it's a great testiment to Bougicord since the car runs fine, but bad news for me because I'm past borrowed time.

Thanks

Mine, still new and in a box, have 14 07 on them. I bought them last summer for a now totaled 1997 T5. I guess I can use them on my 1995, IF they evver wear out!! :)

Dumb T5 owner... driving too fast in a snow storm, slid off the Interstate in Wisconsin and rolled it several times. He wasn't hurt, but made me very mad that he wasted such a fine car. It even had the evaporator replaced in it!

Klaus, you username pirate you! That is odd. "jdl" appears to be a frequent BB user. Jarrod must be jiggling some wires in the back somewhere.

Relevant Volvo information: Not much more than a "Me too". I concur that the yellow text on Bougicord wires corresponds to the date of manufacture and usually not long before the date of installation. Date of manufacture is probably much less important than how many miles are on them and their condition.
