Compression Check V70-XC70 2001

I just finished my 90K mile service, and while I had the plugs out considered doing a compression check to get a "baseline" reading while all is healthy and running excellent. My old school technique would have been to remove all the plugs, disconnect the coil wire, and open the throttle wide open and crank until the reading is stable.

With my 01 V70 T5, there is no coil wire, and was unsure what to do so I wouldn't collect a code, and with the electronic throttle, was unsure if pushing on the peddle would be the equivalent as the old carb type engines to open it all the way up.

Can someone who knows the system better than I do, please give me the correct procedure with these newer engines so I won't do damage the next time I change the plugs and do a compression check?
