My daughter's 2001 V-70 will not allow the drivers door to remain unlocked. The only way to access the driver's door is to use the key in the door cylinder and hold it while you open the door. If you unlock it with the key fob, it re-locks when you pull the door handle. Would this be a short in the door lock switch or a logic problem with the security system.

    Roll the window down and lock the car. Then unlock it with the remote and try pulling up on the lock button. If it comes up a little more and you let go and the door handle then works - a little grease is in order.

      Many thanks for the epert help. The lock rod was bent and not allowing he stem to go fully up. Also, someone had managed to lose the proper indexing on the window lift and the window would only go halfway down. Ended up welding nuts on the regulator so we could remove/install the regulator without cutting rivets. Thanks again...
