1998 V70 i5 2.4l Timing Belt V70-XC70 1998

I have a new to us,very clean and drives like new, with 39k miles and I would like to know if I need to replace the timing belt being the vehicle is twelve yers old. Pease advise?

Yes. A new timing belt is good for 70K miles, and if you do 7K/yr that comes to 10 years. Your belt is now 12 years old.
Replace the serpentine belt also.

Flush all of the fluids, brake - PS - oil - anti freeze - and tranny fluid also.

It probably has a new battery...
