96 850 P0133 code after a few months with new sensor 850

Hi,
I recently changed the front O2 sensor on my 96 850 (non-turbo) after 220k miles. I have a reader that connects to my laptop and I can monitor the O2 sensor voltage. With the bad sensor, I saw no voltage changes. Once I put the new sensor in, I was able to see the voltage swing about 0.3-0.9 vdc. I reset the CEL and all was good for a few months. I recently got another CEL with a P0133 code. I reset it and got it again a few days later. I hooked up the laptop once again and watched the O2 sensor voltage. It looks fine. Any ideas why I would be getting this code with a fairly new sensor that appears to be outputting the correct voltage? I used a Bosch sensor with the correct connector (no splices).
(I have not replaced the rear sensor...yet).
Thanks.

O2 Sensor CKT Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

That is a direct result of engine management comparing o2s1 with o2s2. You are probably running too rich as a result of a vacuum leak, and the enriched mixture is coating the o2 sensor.

Check for leaks all around the intake manifold. By the way, the reading you quoted from the o2s1 are perfect.

      Hi,
Thanks for the tip. Should I remove O2S1 and clean it? Also I know I have an exhaust leak just after the CAT. Could this be causing it also?

Leave the sensor alone for now, they are very difficult to clean properly. It involves a blow torch.

If the leak is after the rear O2S then it shouldn't be a problem. It could be an easy weld job and probably needs to be fixed.

If you can monitor the rear O2S, try it. It is very low voltage and should not fluctuate much at all.

It is a vacuum leak. Check matthewsvolvosite.com where I had the same code. You'll see the pictures of exactly where the leak was, and how we fixed it. Good luck.

I checked that hose shown on the site and it's fine. Both ends are flexible and don't appear to be leaking. I did find the line to the flame trap pulled out almost to the point of not being connected. Hopefully that will solve the problem.

The vacuum hose for the flame trap seems to have been the problem causing P0133 code in my car. It's been a week now since I repaired the hose and I have not gotten an CE light since.
              Thank you for your help.
