K&N and Engine Longevity C70 99

Whats's the concensus out there with veteran Bricksters about

K&N air filters and engine longevity. I have a K&N in my C70

HPT a few weeks now and the car is purring and starting nice

in the mornings.

I have seen all the pros & cons on the net[large particles

getting to the engine] but I would like to hear about some

real life experiences. IPD tells me they have been around

for 50 years and that K&N bashing is just that. True

experiences appreciated.
