Peeling windshield trim V70-XC70 1998

This is actually my 1998 c70, but the front end is the same as a s/v70.
I've also noticed this same issue on 850s and s/v70s.

The rubber trim around my windshield (and rear window) had been peeling and coming loose. it looks awful and I'm temped to peel off the loose stuff but I'm not sure if that would risk leakage or cause my glass to come out.

I looked into a replacement kit from Tasca volvo and found it unavailable for the front or rear glass. As a dealer, I consider them likely to be current on NLA parts. Does anyone have a good solution to the issue?

Even now I can get replacement front rubber for my 1967 122S, but my 1998 C70 is out of luck?

    Peeling windshield trim V70-XC70 1998

Try calling Waltrip Volvo in TN and see if they have the window surrounds for a C70. I am not sure if the windshield is the same for the S/V70, the rear window is probably different than the S70.

Call a window glass company to do the install for you, they have very good sealant and can replace it in less than 1 hour.

There were more 122s sold in the USA in 1967 than all of the C70s from 1998-2010.
