Charcoal Cabin Air Filter 850 96

Who's had experience with the new charcoal filter? Is it effective at reducing or eliminating odors in the intake air? My wife insists on recirculating air to avoid exhaust and other odors. I much prefer fresh air. Is this the answer for both of us?

Re: Charcoal Cabin Air Filter 850 95

Greg,

I am using one and I think another bricker have one too. This filter element cost more than the cheap version. I don't feel any difference because my hay-fever didn't come back this year (don't know why). However, I can feel that decrease of air flow from the fan motor. Output of the speed #1 and #2 of the fan settings reduced a lot when comparing to NO filter.

What do I need to add the charcol filter? And is this an OEM part?

Re: Charcoal Cabin Air Filter 850 95

Sandro,

All you have to do is to buy the filter element and the filter kit (a plastic frame that sits on top of the vent opening). I bought the kit and charcol filter element from Borton Volvo. The tool you need is a T25 screw driver to lift the passenger side of the plastic cover right above the firewall.

Hope this help.

I currently have the pollen filter. Do I replace that with the charcol filter?
