C70 Warranty Question C70 2008

Ive got a 2008 C70 hardtop convertible with 48,500 miles, so it's about to go out of it's manufacturers warranty. Im trying to decide if I should buy the extended warranty that's available through a dealer (hedrick?) here in Nashville. It's going to cost me somewhere around $2500 for a 7 yr / 80,000 mile warranty, or $3k for 6 yr 100,000 mile warranty...

I just dont know if I think its worth that. I've heard these car are really solid and dont have a lot of issues, but the hard top convertible makes me a little nervous since there are so many moving parts...

Anyone have any thoughts or experience with the C70 that would help in my decision? I appreciate any feedback...

    The price is negotiable, did you know that?

    Could you afford to take out a savings account, or a bond mutual fund, and put $2500 or $3000 in it? Remember, it is 2500 for 30K or 3000 for 50K more miles only. If it is transferable, it will help on the resale value.

    Most C70 specific repairs involve the top wiring bundle or the windows. Electrical problems are a pain, but once solved they are cheap parts.

    The rest of the mechanicals are the same as the 2007 V70.
