Mesh Grille for 850's? 850 97 T5

IPD has Mesh grille's for the S70, but not for us 850 owners. Does anyone know where you can get one or make one? Thanks.

    To me, the original Volvo grille is the prettiest thing in my car. When I saw the mesh grille in the IPD catalog, I thought - why would anyone want to use it.

    Why, guys? Does it look better? I know this is very subjective but wanted to hear some live comments.

      I personally don't like the barren look of the mesh alone. I'd probably want to have the diagonal thing across it... it may look pretty sweet then.

      I was thinking about having the stock one powder coated black-- I like the blacked out look. The other thing that looked pretty good to me was a V70R that was in one of the IPD catalogs. It looks like it has a grille from an XC of the same year -- sort of an egg-crate black plastic criss cross grille with the diagonal and badge....too bad it won't work on my '97.

      Just to be different, I guess. I want to try and adapt the Volvo Diaganol onto a mesh grille, just to stand out from the crowd. Everyone around here drives Volvo's, but all are basically soccer moms. I love the clean lines of the car, but I want to stand out, if only just a little.

    IPD is having them made. Their supplier is holding them up though last time I heard. I believe Scott said something about them being ready in about a month.
