A fellow hasa 2000 volvo c70 for sale, and the main problem is teh convertible top doesnt work. It works manually and the top is in good shape. The retractable antennae is broken, and his explanation is when the antenna is broken the convertible motor wont work. He wants $2800 for the car with 134000 miles and a it includes a new timing belt and water pump. Good brakes, motor and transmission are good, its just teh convertible top that is a concern.     Not true. The antenna is separate and probably needs a new mast.

    The wiring for the top is in a poor position and there have been reports of the wires inside the top getting cut where they pass the metal structure. With the top half way up/down, the wires are exposed and can be repaired.

    The car is probably due for a new top cover, these are not cheap and should reflect in the price.

    There are known problems with the door windows, the cable loops over a pulley and the pulley gets loose or breaks.
