2002 XC70 Eratic transmission V70-XC70

Hello, Do a search on this topic and you'll find a heap of posts and threads. Read a bunch of them to determine what you want to do. In brief: Start with a drain and fill of the transmission's sump. It's easy to do and you'll get a good look at the fluid in your unit. Repeat as deemed necessary. Check at a Volvo dealership (supply your 17 digit vin number) to see if there are any downloads your transmission's brain, the TCM, has missed. Many people claim great improvement with these two steps. I realized great improvement after performing 2 drain and fills about 300 miles apart and having the TCM updated. That was about 3 years ago. You'll be reading posts about the B4 servo cover (which I've bought and have yet to install), certain shift solenoids and even add-on transmission coolers. Kira
