Brake Hum 850 97 T5

I've been experiencing an intermittent brake hum. It seems to be coming from the passengers side, but I could be wrong. It seems to happen when braking from 30 or 40 mph. I thought it might be a rotor/pad problem, but the other day it happened, and continued doing so even after I'd come to a complete stop. As soon as I let off the brake pedal, it goes away. Like I said, it doesn't happen all the time, but it is rather annoying. Anyone have any input? My pads are about half worn, and my rotors mic'd out within tolerances. Any help much appreciated.

If you hear the noise when completely stopped, and it goes away when you release the brake pedal, it sounds like a vacuum leak, possibly the brake booster, have it checked by qualified personel, after all, it is your brakes........

Thanks for the input. I was afraid I'd have to go to the dealer for it. I just don't have the time... Take care
