rear wiper/washer issue on 850 wagon 850 1996

Okay, here is the deal. Rear wiper works but washer spray does not.

Now here is what I've done to this point.

Replaced the rear washer motor - it was dead!
cleaned and checked everything over as far as the washer fluid holding tank.
Cleaned and checked all of the lines in the engine compartment.
Re-assembled and proceeded to move down the passenger side of the wagon. checked out the trunk area hoses, filters, and nozzle. All clean and operational.

Turn car on press switch for fluid to come out of the nozzle onto the rear window but nothing.

Thinking its electrical, so I went to the liftgate and check the right side hinge area and looks clean, etc. dis-assembled the tape on the bend for which was all encased in a plastic protector, did not see an issue with the wires.

what color wires should I be concentrating on for this and is their any other micro switches on the back gate to make this work?
Does anyone have pics of the wires and lift gate area that I should be concentrating on?

Thanks.

If it is like 740 check valves - two plastic parts for a housing, a small spring, and a thin rubber diaphragm - you can make a new diaphragm from the cuff of a dishwashing glove

Since you had replaced the rear washer pump and confirmed that new pump was running when your pressed rear washer button, then there is a one-way valve behind the trim of passenger side D-pillar. It is nearby the D-pillar speaker. When that valve is plugged, you will get no fluid out of the nozzle. I replaced this valve twice in almost 17 years. There is a filter under the trunk board (passenger side). If tubing to that filter is disconnected, you would not get any fluid to the nozzle either.

From my remembrance chasing-down this same issue, if the wiper works, but the fluid does not squirt, there's nothing electrical to check in the tailgate.

The rear washer pump, located in the passenger side wheel well, is the only other electrical element in this system, and if you say it is working, then the only other issue is that you have something plugging-up the line.

From that pump, work to the rear of the car, detaching the tubing at every joint, and run the rear washer to make sure the fluid is reaching that joint.

There's a little filter, or one-way valve, under the passenger side of the wagon's floor. Be sure to check at that point.

my rear nozzle would not work either. It was the check valve in the rear cargo area. Pulled one from a junk yard and it is working well.
