ATR Downpipe & Code 435 850 1994

I have just installed a downpipe by ATR and now I am reading a code of 435 (front o2 sensor slow) Has anyone else had this problem. Will changing the sensor fix this or is due to the pip. Any input would be apreciated

Thank you.

    Hi Andrew,

I had the exact same problem when I installed the ATR downpipe on my '95 854T. Turns out it was a faulty front 02 sensor. Those O2 sensors are very fragile, they might be damaged during your installation of the ATR downpipe.

Check some other threads regarding this exact problem. I believe the person that stated them problem was something along the lines of, black electrical tape over the warning light :)

Honestly, there is little you can do assuming your O2 sensor is working properly. Try getting a new O2 sensor and replace it. If you still get it, then you're pretty much stuck unless you want to experiment with other downpipe/exhaust set-ups.

I had the same problem with I changed DPs before. Try cleaning the sensor. I had one laying around so I just changed mine. Been almost a year and still no reoccurring light. Cost is bout 120 and will take about an hour.
