I own a 94 854T (145,000 miles) that has three bent rims. The previous owner of the car put T rated BF Goodrich Radial TA tires (205 50 16 inch). I believe the bent rims were caused from hitting potholes with these tires. The combination of weak sidewalls and the lower profile may have caused the bent rims. Nevertheless, I just replaced the tires with V rated Yokohama’s in the 55 sizes. I had one wheel reconditioned to the tune of $165. I saw that Tire Rack.com has after market wheels for $129 each that are virtually identical to the OEM wheels. Has anyone purchased these wheels and is there any reason why I shouldn’t purchase them? I will indeed buy a set of four. I also have a valve ticking noise when the car is cold. This goes away after 5 minutes or so. Two dealers told me it was valve leak down and not to worry. Any advise?
