So, I am getting ready to replace the front shocks, however I am having trouble finding the right part #. iPD and FCP Groton each list shocks that are compatible, however I also see #9191569 listed as 98 XC70 shocks. Will these work?

I want to try to find the correct shocks for the R because I like the stiffer suspension. http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/products/Shock-absorber/1177471/9191569.html I checked the shocks themselves, but couldn't find a code. Does anyone have previous records for the proper shocks?

I would like to know by Monday, because I need to order them to install by next weekend. Thanks.

If you want a stiffer ride I would go with the Bilstein HD struts or the Koni. They were both too stiff for me so I went with the Bilstein touring with my most recent change. They are a bit stiffer than the OEM's.

I wish I could help, but I opted for Koni Sport shocks for the front of my 1998 R. You could call a dealer parts person and ask nicely.
