Pending Transmission Failure - Code 3-2-3 850 94

It was bound to happen. On my way to work this morning, the up arrow on the dash and the light next to the sport on the economy/sport switch started flashing.

Upon arriving to work, I checked the transmission error codes (socket A-1). The result was code 3-2-3.

The code equates to “Lock up slips or not engaged”.

I am wondering what this means? My guess is that I have a pending transmission failure on my hands. I so, how long do I have? The transmission seems to shift fine.

I have cleared the code and will wait to see what happens on the way home.

Just FYI: I have had the transmission fluid changed every 10K miles. The last change was done approximately 4K miles ago.

    This was a popular topic a while back.

    As I remember it, 323 has to do with PNP switch.

    One hint from the board was moving the shift lever back and forth thru all the gears about a dozen time to spread the grease around and clean off the contact if it is still possible. If that does not work, the switch will need to be replaced.

      As soon as I saw the warning lights, I tried moving the shift lever back and forth like you said. It did not work.

      When I got in the office, I searched the brickboard. I saw the thread you were referring to, it was a different error code than 3-2-2.

        My appologies, it was 313 I was thinkg of and experienced before.

        If the arrow starts flashing, I don't believe moving the lever will clear it. You'll have to clear the code.
