$3800 for a 20 yr old car that needs immediate attention??
Given that your friend will allow you to make payments is a real "road sign" that she desperately wants to get rid of this car.
We paid $3000 for our `04 XC70 last summer which needed some front end work & was disclosed & factored into the price. It runs really strong & we are very happy with it.
I & others here think you can do much better......keep looking!
