My '04 V70 has a dealer installed bluetooth connection that does a good job of transmitting phone call audio to the car speakers, however it does not do the same for other audio (ie books/streaming audio). I assume the car's bluetooth is an earlier version that doesn't support newer bluetooth protocols. Is there an upgrade for the Volvo system that would allow the radio to play books & streaming audio? Thanks.

I installed my bluetooth upgrade, not dealership, so it may be a different setup than yours. For me to stream music from iphone thru the radio, SOURCE on radio needs to be in the 'CD changer' mode. Have you tried that already?
