Dealer installed Volvo Bluetooth V70-XC70 2004

My '04 V70 has a dealer installed bluetooth connection that does a good job of transmitting phone call audio to the car speakers, however it does not do the same for other audio (ie books/streaming audio). I assume the car's bluetooth is an earlier version that doesn't support newer bluetooth protocols. Is there an upgrade for the Volvo system that would allow the radio to play books & streaming audio? Thanks.
