What I was thinking is that maybe the pressostat is falsely reading high refrigerant pressure at all times, in which case it wouldn't matter if the A/C was on or off - it would be calling for the fan to be on at all times. If unplugging the connector on the pressostat stops the fan from running full time then either the sensor is faulty or the A/C really IS overcharged. It's doubtful the A/C is overcharged if this problem just started out of the blue and not immediately after charging the system.
