1998 V70 Expiring Warranty V70-XC70 1998

I took my 98 S70 to CAA/AAA auto club and had them do a full inspection. They found severe wear on the lower motor mount which wore prematurely. The car has a NA engine with 36 000 km, i found it strange that this component failed especially since this car has been babied since new. They also found a torn CV boot and bad windshield washer checkvalves. Volvo promptly did the repairs without a problem. There is no way of verifying your evaporator unless there is a leak, get into the habit of turning off your A/C a couple of blocks away from your destination and have the fan dry off the condensation from your evaporator. Throw in a new pollen filter once or twice a year in order to keep mold from rotting out that evaporator, you don't want to know what it takes to replace it. Flush the brake fluid every couple of years and follow your engine oil change schedule. If you have an automatic transmission, have it flushed when the fluid begins to lose its color, synthetic would be a bonus if you can buy it in North America, gets pretty pricey in other countries. IMHO the owner's manual should recommend transmission fluid changes, their track record shows that the FWD trannies die from overheated fluid. For some reason the 2000 S/V70 owner's manual starts to recommend changing the fluid every 52000 miles on severe service.
Hope this helps.
