I started getting this problem about two weeks ago. The center safety latch, the one you have to pull from the grill side, well it got jammed after i release the inside handle and i ended up snapping the plastic arm that you pull. i got a new plastic part, installed it and it happened again. i noticed that when i pull the inside hood release the hood doesn't pop up like it use to and when i try to manually lift the hood the safety latch jams. Has anyone experienced this and what did you do to fix the situation. WHen i reinstalled the thing this last time, i tried to install it in the original location. Ken

Check to make sure the plastic panel the hook goes into(the radiator cover) hasn't shifted. Also make sure the radiator mounts (one on each side,toward the bottom of the radiator)haven't cracked. That will cause the panel to shift also.
I assume the little retract spring is still in place on your hood safety latch assy??

yes, i got a new spring for the thing, the old one went flying somewhere in the garage. I will check the raditor supports and top cover. thanks Ken
