At 21000 miles it is time to replace the original Mich MXV4's (I replaced the OEM MXV4's at 20,000 miles on my old 850GLT). Softer rubber for good grip means shorter life.
Thinking of buying Dunlop SP Sport AT.......anyone have experience with this tire good/bad?
Instead of 195-60-15, could I use 205-60-15 without rubbing on full lock turns?

Put Dunlop SP A2s on my 2000 S70 yesterday. Simply could not be more pleased. Quieter ride than the Michelin tires, not to mention better handling. Yes, I did go for the 205 rather than the 195 and this would certainly explain the difference (improvement) in feel.

Check out tirerack.com, $54 a pop delivered. Dealer installed them as part of my 45K servicing, about $88 for the install when you factor in the reduction to the 45K service charge due to no tire rotation/re-balance on the old tires (new math thing).

trader- I would reccom. another Dunlop I have used in the past: D60A2 w/jlb. If u can find it, it's a steal for the threadwear and comfort. It cost about $80 each and that was 16" for me. Pirelli P600 M&S is also very good!! Now, i'm not sure of your rim's width, but if it's 6 or 6.5", 205/60/15 is fine. good luck,BD

A few years ago the D60 A2 were rated best in a CR tire review. I used them as a replacement for the Mich MXV4's on my 850, they were just as good as the MXV4's, at almost half the price. They have been discontinued by Dunlop, and replaced by the SP Sport A2.

Ouch, "Turbo replaced at 4000 miles?". What was wrong with it?

I used the D60 A2's on my 740T. Nice tire. Then I went to Comp T/A 205/55 15. Nice tire, extra grip, no longer available. I now have a '99 V70GLT as well and will eventually need new tires. I'm thinking of upgrading the wheels to 16's since there are more choices available. The current 195-60 15's are almost new so I've got a while to go.
