Will 205/50/17 work on 850R volans? 850

i want to get some new so3 pole position tires and i can only get them if i get the 205/50/17's. i was wondering if it would make a difference if i got these instead of the 205/45/17's. also does anyone have any idea how much the speedometer would change. i have 16 turbo wheels now and i am upgrading to the volans and i want those pole positions. someone please help~! thanks.

    Check the specs on the tires and see if they are the same diameter as what you have now. I have a feeling they will be about 1" taller than your current tires.

    Since you are obviously interested in maximum performance at any cost, I would recommend going to the 215/45/17. I have the Bridgestone RE-730's (215/45/17)on Volans and the stock R suspension, and I love them. My tires only rub at full lock, so I just don't crank it all the way over any more.

    If you are going from 16's you should prepare yourself for a stifer ride. You will get more road noise and harshness in your ride, but more responsiveness, control and grip than you can handle.
