Will 205/50/17 work on 850R volans? 850

i want to get some new so3 pole position tires and i can only get them if i get the 205/50/17's. i was wondering if it would make a difference if i got these instead of the 205/45/17's. also does anyone have any idea how much the speedometer would change. i have 16 turbo wheels now and i am upgrading to the volans and i want those pole positions. someone please help~! thanks.
