Heater Hoses Won't Stay In!

Today I flushed the coolant in my '96 855T. I pulled out the heater hoses to flush the heater core.

Bad mistake!

The upper hoses' plastic retainer will not "pop out" to retain the hose in the firewall. Can I get just new plastic retainers? My first day of vacation didn't go so well!

Yes, you can get them BUT not all dealers are likely to stock them as they rarely break. Worst case is two trips to the dealer if they need to overnight 2 for you.

I called 4 "Local" dealerships this morning. 1 couldn't find the part, 1 asked me to come down and help "look" with them, 1 dealership said just the clips were available, but needed to be ordered...

And then there was Boston Volvo Village, They told me that there is a kit available, with all the stuff for both hoses. They didn't have a kit in stock, and ordered one up for me and it will be shipped at my house tomorrow. Good people.

Russ,

The parts department of Boston Volvo is very nice (Service is totally different story!). I order parts from them via email (John Sharisky), he is very polite and find all the parts that I am looking for. Most of the time, parts are special order. However, it only takes a couple days to get it.
