Air leaks by side mirror 850 1995

Hi Brickboard memmbers,
my 850 wagon is taking lots of outside air from the A-pillar just behind the mirror on the driver's side. I don't think it's the seal on the windshield because no water gets inside only cold air. I seem to remember reading a post some time ago with mirrors having something to do with the problem. Anyway, any experinces or possible solutions to this anoying problem.

Thanks for the advice!

I have a 1996 and also hear a lot of air noise from this area, but only at high speeds. Could just be turbulence around mirrors, did it just seem to happen or was it always this way?

It's the wife car and never had a chance to drive it during a very windy day. I think its alwys been there but would need to remove the plastic that covers the A-frame to the windshield to make a better diagnostic.

Before you take too much apart, tape over the outside hinge slots and see if that cures the noise. If if does, some self stick velcro in the slot (soft velcro side) may do the trick. Apply with mirror folded.
