Headlight wiper motors 850 1994

I want to disable the wipers for headlights, the wiper is worn and it is scratching the lens, and I dont want to replace it because of the lackness of utility (in my opinion). Since I dont want to remove them, I simply want disconnect the wiring but I canīt find the connector. The Haynes manual says the connector is above the headlights or in front of the radiator but I cant find none of them. Above the headlights are the beam regulator motors, and in front of the radiator are only the horns and two relays that belongs to the fan system.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance!.

My wiper motors have failed and would not return to the rest postion. Thus they would keep running whenever the key was on. I finally disconected the wires. The connectors are located at the back of the headlights towards the bottom of the assembly. They don't plug into the headlight, but the connector is there with wires out both ends. Just push the wire keeper in towards the connector and pull, it will release. I unplugged one connector then tried the wiper to make sure it was the correct wire. The did the same on the other.

Thank you very much to all. I'll try again on weekend.

since I cannot get my wife to clean the ice off the headlights and their wipers on her car, I decided to disable them for now.

I removed my headlight wiper blades and found that a large red wire nut fit on the shaft perfectly. It even matches my wagon. I filled it with dielectric grease first to protect the shaft. I will check it in a few weeks to see if the grease protects the threads.

Don't forget to plug the washer hoses or you will waste washer fluid. If you want to tuck the hoses out of the way, the small body panel around the wiper shaft can be removed easilly. Just start by pulling the inside end away from the car, you can them peek in and see the next clip which justs pulls off also, I think that there are three in all. (I haven't tucked my hoses in yet but had that panel off of my other 850) Study the clips and make sure the tabs that insert into them are lined up properly when you re-install the panel.

First, consider removing the arms if you can't disconnect the electrical. Lift the cap covering the motor shaft, and remove the fastener holding the arms. Simple.

Also, replacing the rubber wiper inserts is trivial. Instead of buying the expensive Volvo headlight blades, just cut-down (with dykes) a set of regular refills. Works great! You can even use a pair of old refills.
