Interchanging the ECU 850

Can a 1994 850 Turbo ECU Bosch ID: 0 261 203 071 (072) be used in my 1995 850 Turbo. According to my searches, they seem to be interchangable, but I just want to make sure.
thanx

It may. What is the ECU # on you '95? I believe my '95 has Bosch ID: 0 261 203 072 and I was able to use the 0 261 203 071 (072) The biggest issue my be if one model has the EGR and the other doesn't. I was testing an ECU from a '97 in my '95 and it worked. Due to the EGR the '97 would work in the '95 but not vice versa.

so if the ecu numbers match, then i'm good to go?

what is meant by the (72) @ the end of the code?

The 071 (072) is a different ecu # then the one with just the 071 but they will be compatible based on my experience.

Let me know how it works out.
