C70 Conv. - top not up warning C70 2000

I'm having a problem with the sensor for the top not being up. If my car sits for about an hour, when I start it again and go forward, i get the warning beeps that the tops not all the way up. All i have to do is hold the top up button and it will lift the bottom of the top up a bit and then close it and the warning goes away. But this is a big pain since i have to stop to do it. Anyone know what i can check for this?

It's not a big issue since it's under warranty, but if it's quick, i'd rather take care of it than taking it to the dealership and waiting.

There are a number of micro switches and potentiometers that give the control unit information on top position/status. 1 or more microswitches may be out of adjustment, or there could be a potentiometer problem. May just need to be recalibrated. A code scan should reveal the area causing the problem. See your dealer.

If it is under warranty take it to your dealer. If you try and fix it yourself you might make it worse.
