Guys.. my car is acting a littl ewierd. THe tranny wants to engage (it seems) while it sits at idle like at a stop light. If I put it in Neutral it stops. And it shifts hard EARLY into 2nd from a slow start.. really annoying in stop and go traffic. I dont get any arrow lights (that what service guys asked ) so I dont thing the computer is acting up.. could it be the torque converter? If I drive WOT it shifts fine.. but part throttle its erratic. Like the load is not correct. ALSO.. I AM ONLY RUNNING FWD. I TOOK OUT THE CENTER SHAFT.. is that causing a problem? maybe the load is so different b/c there are only 2 wheels turning? I cant seem to find anyone that can help.. even old volvo techs..     When was the last time ya did a nice flush and fill? How many miles on that bad boy? Since I have the same car, your making me nervous!

      I agree....check your fluid....Bet it's brown and burnt. Flush and fill.

        I flushed and filled twice in 10000 miles.. once at 70 and then again at 80 when I started to notice the problem. It has 81K on it now. I thought MAYBE I put hte wrong fluid in it the first time, I dont remember what it was, so thats why i changed it again. A volvo tech said Mercon III, so thats what I got. And then others said Synthetic only. thats expensive/ But Its possible the fluid was not changed often, as I bought the car with 54K miles on it, and I am not sure what the previous owner had done (it was factory serviced at least to 35K miles). so maybe it was never chaned from 35K to 70 when I did it. Maybe it was just getting worse and now its that noticable.? Or do I drive it too hard sometimes? lol....
