Cruise control not working, troubleshooting suggestions? 850 1995

Hey all,

I've run into trouble with the cruise control on the '95 850 GLT I have. Basically, it doesn't work. I turn the cruise on, try to set a speed, and the car coasts down when I take my foot off the accelerator. I presume there may be some kind of failure in the switchgear in the cruise control/turn signal stalk, but that's just an early idea.

I checked the fusebox and found I had a good fuse in the circuit for the cruise/seat belt lamp/etc. What should I look at next in tracking down this problem?

Thanks,

Nate

Cruise control not working, troubleshooting suggestions? 850 1995

Suggest tracing the vacuum lines. Mine did the same thing, it was a disconnected line. The cruise module is located on the bottom of the batery tray, but I guess you've probably discovered this. Dealer fixed it (gratis) while they were doing some other work, so I don't know WHICH connection came loose.

      Vacuum Hoses ? 850 1995

The vacuum line running to the cruise module under the battery is connected to the black connector on the module. The rest of the lines look fine. However, I have no vacuum at the line running under the battery and air box. I suspect a vacuum leak somewhere else now. Where would I look? I traced the vacuum line back from the cruise module and it seems to disappear under the ABS control module.

      Any more help is appreciated,

      Nate
