Hi all, I'd like to replace my thermostat but I dont know what is the standard for a 850 N/A: 87øC/189øF or 90øC/194øF ??

    I don't know HOW to replace the thermostat, or which one - however I'm wondering, why are you replacing it? I have a problem with mine, and I'm curious if its the same one you've had. My thermostat goes all the way down to the bottom and registers COLD if you take it on the freeway for more than a few mintues. It slowly drops down until it bottoms out, as soon as you get off the freeway and drive slow in the city it moves back up into the middle. Whats wrong with it? Is this why you're replacing yours?

      Unfortunately, yours is gone too. The same symptom. Thermostat fails open, and the coolant is overcooled on the highway. Volvospeed has the procedure to replace the thermostat on their maintenance and repairs page. You don't have to flush the coolant as they did, but it's a good practice to flush the coolant and replace it once in every two years. And one last advise DO BUY an extra long T40 socket.
