Will using those oil leak sealants that purportedly condition the seals help prevent the infamous rear main seal leak?

    Hi ya,

    I have a 94 with just shy of 200k miles on mine. What i have found is frequent oil changes with a quality oil has worked for me. To answer your question i would personally say NO.

      I've used the high mileage oil the last couple of oil changes and my rear seal leak has stopped.

        What's special about these high mileage oils? I've considered using them in the past but I wasn't sure what made it different.
