Hi All,

Does anyone know what the "trailer wiring" programming option does for you on Volvo's onboard computer?

    Never heard of it and I work at a dealer. One just installs the wiring, OEM or aftermarket (no SW required).

        I think that THAT person was mistaken as I've installed both OEM and aftermarket trailer hitch wiring on new V70s (every year to date, being a dealer tech) and have never needed to DL any SW or program anything to make the trailer wiring function. It just wires in and works.

          you noted that you have installed a lot of Volvo trailer hitches and wiring and I need your help !
          I just got a Volvo 2" hitch and Volvo 7 plug wiring installed on my XC-70. How do I convert the Volvo 7 plug to a USA style 7 plug ???
          thanks for any advice you can give, we need 7 plug NOT 4 plug wire
