Gas and water guage fall to zero when stopping, service light corresponds 850 1995

When braking to a stop, the gas and water guage fall to zero. When accelerating they go back to their former positon. Now that the service light is on, it does the same. When stopping, the service light goes off exactly when the guages go down, then comes back on at the same time. What gives? Also, I can not get the service light reset using the "A" module procedure.

Sensor seems to be the consensus. Still, anyone have an idea why I can' get the service light off? Is it because it syncs up with the quirky guage problem? The darn light comes back on every time we step on the brakes!

You may want to check the dash loom connector blocks where they attach above the footwell to the body. If they work loose, can cause erratic instrunment behaviour. On the 97 they are held in with a retainer clip, and if this works loose, they can start to jiggle themselves out, resulting in all sorts of odd dash bahaviour.

Bad ground is a possibility too.

Sounds to me like either a computer problem or sensor issue.
