97 850 sedan rear child seat 850

I am interested in converting the rear arm rest of my 97 850 sedan to a flip down child seat. Has anyone performed this on their car or heard of this ? I just spoke to the dealer and the cost for parts is about $300.00 or I found a owner of a 93 850 with the integrated child seat in their rear seat. I am curious if the parts from the 93 would work ? This could save me a lot of money.

    the 93 most likely wont fit because its a sedan, but u can definitely find one at a used car parts store

    If the seat from the 93 is free to you, it cant hurt to take it and try to see if it will fit. Couldnt tell you for sure or not.

    Try going to a recycler that specializes in Volvo. Im sure they can get one for your exact year. If its leather, you can redye it for about 30.00 to match the rest of the car. If your in British Columbia, or Washington try www.chapmanmotors.ca/volvoparts.html. Somehow I think thats a better bet for you!!
