I need Help S80 2004

I would like to buy a 2004 S80 Volvo but my 3 car seats do not fit in the back seat. I have three children, 6,2,and 8 weeks. We went to the dealer to try out our car seats in the back. We had no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

    The XC-90 is available with a very nice built-in child seat in the center of the second row. My daughter is a Product Manager with Volvo and a Certified Car Seat Specialist. I will try to remember to ask her about your problem.

      I would really appreciate it if you could ask your daughter. We are definitely going to buy the car if we could fit the 3 seats in the back.

        Here is the response I got from my daughter:

        Yes, I think that's right. We do not offer a built-in booster seat as an option on the S80, but we do offer one in the center 2nd row seat of the XC90, and 2 (in the outboard seats) of the S40, V50, V70, and XC70. We had an S70 come through the check-up event today with 3 child seats across the back seat. I would think it could be done in an S80, though admittedly I've never actually tried it.

    have you checked to see if the S80 has the child seat option built into the rear armrest. that way you would only need 2 additional child seats that should fit on either side of the armrest comfortably.

    i used to have this child seat option on my previous 850 and i used to fit kids from 4 to 8 years old.

    The S80 its not a family sedan as you have found out, it's a nice sports sedan.

    Your best bet would be the V70, but if the wagons don't appeal to you, then you have to look outside the volvo brand for your family sedan.

    You could consider an XC90 that has a third row seat, but that might be difficult for you to reach. You could also consider a different brand of car seat.

      Tom,

      Thanks for your suggestion. We looked at the SUV and we can't use it because in order to get to the back seat you need to move the center row side seat. Same problem....the other 2 car seats wouldn't allow you to move the seat.
