Installing a Turn signal stalk 850 1995

I was able to find a used turn signal/cruise switch but now I am wondering
if there is any issue with the steering wheel airbag?
I just got off the phone with my Indy mechanic that works on Volvo's all the time and he said there may be an issue with replacing the turn signal
switch and the airbag going off. Is this true? Do I have anything
to worry about with the airbag?

Thanks!

    1/2 hour job.
basically you need 25 and 15 torx. And a ratchet extension. Pull the steering wheel all the way. Underneath the steering column is 2 torx 25 and 2 torx 15, you will have to use the extension for these torx screws.. Loosen them and you will be able to pop open the top cover of the steering wheel and the bottom will follow. Don't worry about the airbags. Has got nothing do to with the signal light switch replacement as long as you're careful...you just have to disconnect the connectors of the switch and unscrew two more bolts. that's it.
I just replaced mine. Good luck

Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait about 15 minutes before starting any work on the steering column. Don't unplug the airbag orange (or Yellow) plug from the crash sensor with the battery connected. Safe after that. I'll email you the steering column instructions.
