Obtaining service history from Volvo...which dealerships will give complete history? S70 1998

I talked to my local Volvo dealership, gave them my VIN and tried to get the repair/maintenance history, but they would only give me what had been done at that particular dealership. I have read on the board that you can get repair history from Volvo, so my question is... Does Anyone Know Which Dealership(s) Will Give The Whole History, Not Just What Was Done At Their Location????

    Unfortunatly the only warranty repair info that we get from Volvo is the labor op. code that was claimed on the vehicle and does not always reflect what all was done.Note that this is only warranty claims.Volvo does not keep repair records that are paid for by the customer(nor does any other manufacture that I know of). We dealerships are not privvy to other records as we are all separate businesses.

      thats interesting, here in the UK Volvo UK has a system which all the dealers can see which shows the services that are done on a car. Many of the dealers dont keep info on cars that they dont see for a couple of years. So volvo may be the only source of info on a cars early history. Any UK dealer can access the database and give info on a car.
