I lost the key and remote to my car. I got the key replace and want to get my car to the dealer to get a new remote. Unfortunately, anytime I go in the car and try to start it the alarm goes off and I can not get the car started. I need to get the car started to get it to the dealer. Is there anything I can do...Please help

I have always been able to turn off the alarm on my 1995 850, by locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key from the outside. Good luck Brad

The trick is to lock it once, and unlock it twice (driver's door) to reset the alarm.

When you unlock your car, do you do it twice - once to unlock the driver door and again to unlock everything else? That might work. There is a procedure to disabling the alarm, but I forgot. My 854T key fob doesn't work anymore but the red led blinks when I lock the car. Check the 850 archives...

You can try this, but I'm not sure it will work...
Lock the car, wait 5 seconds and unlock and get in and
turn the ignition to the "accessory" setting and then to "off"
5 times in @ 3 second intervals. This may clear the remote settings
code. (In fact you can save yourself some $$$ by sourcing a keyless entry
fob on ebay - @$25.00 or less, and programming it using the above
procedure.)
