O2 sensor

According to FCP Groton, when replacing the front O2 sensor, the wiring for the rear O2 sensor must also be replaced. I have a short section of wire for this. Is this really true? Or can I replace this wire when the rear sensor goes bad?

Thanks

After I put the sensor in and drove the car around the block, the check engine light is still on, albeit the ABS control sensor is still blinking--so I know it's working. I was told by the mechanic that just the front sensor was bad..I replaced it and the abs control unit which was bad as well, and installed both with the battery disconnected. After connecting the battery, like I said, the engine check light is still on. Will it take time for the computer to adjust before the light goes off, or will I need to have a mechanic reset the computer?

    Thanks

Don't you have an Autozone in the wilds around Ft. Collins? Get your computer reset.

Well, I'm an hour from Ft. Collins, specifically in Denver, and yes, we do have an Auto Zone less than 10 minutes away. I wasn't aware they could do that. How much do they charge? Will it completely reset the computer?
