C70 Service C70 2000

Hi Folks, This is my first post. I Have had my C70 2.0 low pressure Turbo for 9 months now and it has 88,000 miles on it. It says that it is due for the next service at 90,000 but the service light has come on! It has also started to "pink" and is really sluggish and also is spluttery when you start it from cold if you rev it! Does anyone know if this is normal 2,000 miles before a service is due or is there something wrong? Volvo want £478 pounds for this service.
Please, anyone with any feelings on this subject please comment!

£478 is serious money, but not out of line compared to what an American dealer might charge for the 90,000 mile service. I suggest you find an independent mechanic with Volvo experience. They should be able to diagnose your car's problems, do the 90,000 mile service, and change transmission oil, brake fluid, and all sorts of things for much less than £478. "Sputtery" could be something as simple as fouled spark plugs, fouled injectors, or a clogged fuel filter. As a first step, try using a can of fuel injector cleaner and see if that helps. Use a premium product like Chevron Techron (if it is sold there) or Ventil Sauber. Good luck.

This happend to one of my cars and when i did the full oli, oilfilter plugs leads and airfilter it cured it. Sometimes an air leak ojn the inlet can cause the spluttering. Check all airpipes for cracks etc as they might be the problem. Hope this helps
